Thank you to all CCW growers who attended our Tech Farm Project information sessions on March 31-April 1. These sessions provided valuable insights into technology options for enhancing drought resilience, with funding support from the Australian government’s Future Drought Fund.
We heard your concerns regarding current financial challenges and understand that many of you are facing difficult decisions this season. As your CCW team, we’re committed to:
- Advocating for support programs that better address our region’s unique needs
- Exploring infrastructure-focused funding options
- Working one-on-one with growers who see potential benefits in available technologies
CCW had previously issued advisories regarding agtech grants, and many growers have already met with Sanoop to explore opportunities with the grants currently available. Several growers who applied for the TekFarm grant attended this information session, with some having already proceeded with their grant applications.
We invite all growers to book appointments with Sanoop, our CCW Agribusiness Development Officer (PIRSA Transformation & Innovations Officer – a position fully funded by PIRSA), to discuss your concerns and explore available opportunities. Whether you’re looking to enhance your current operations, plan for future growth, or explore potential diversification options.
Stay tuned for information about the upcoming opportunities, which may offer a different funding model on projects.
We’re here to support you through these challenging times. Contact us at (08) 85832286 with any questions.
The Presenters of the meetings were:
